🌸 Hmong Cross-Stitch Class (2–5)

In this class, students will learn the traditional art of Hmong cross-stitch (paj ntaub). Students will be taught basic cross-stitching skills step-by-step and will practice making their own designs.

They will also learn about Hmong culture, the history of paj ntaub, and why Hmong people create cross-stitch—to tell stories, show identity, and pass traditions from generation to generation.

Through hands-on projects, students will:

• Learn basic and advanced cross-stitch techniques
• Practice patience, focus, and fine motor skills
• Explore Hmong culture, symbols, and patterns
• Understand the meaning and importance of paj ntaub in Hmong history
• Create their own cross-stitch projects to take home

This class is open to students in 2nd-5th grades, and no prior sewing experience is needed.
