1 Day Horse Camp (Ages 6-15)Boulder Point Equestrian CenterDAY CAMP (Ages 6-15) TIME: PARENT Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT TO EXPECT: Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. No flip flops. 3-Day Long Horse Camp (Ages 6-15)Boulder Point Equestrian CenterTIME: PARENT drop-off is at 9:00 a.m. and PARENT pickup is at 3:00 p.m. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT TO EXPECT: Experience a mini-week long camp! Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and feed them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day.
