About Early Childhood Screening
Early Childhood Screening is free and provides a simple check of how your child is developing and growing. It's also a great way to learn about community resources that can support you and your family. Screening is for children 3-5 years old and is required by the State of Minnesota before entering public Kindergarten.
During screening, your child will complete age-appropriate activities with a trained professional.
The screening includes checks in the following areas:
- Cognitive development
- Large and small muscle development
- Communication skills
- Social and emotional development
- Vision & hearing, height & weight
- Health history & immunization review
