1-Day Horse Camp (Ages 6-15)Boulder Point Equestrian CenterDAY CAMP (Ages 6-15) TIME: PARENT Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT TO EXPECT: Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. No flip flops. Sunscreen/hat/bug spray Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch Treats for the horses if you want Helmets are provided. WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine,as we have an indoor barn and arena. WHAT TO EXPECT: Experience a mini-week long camp! Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and feed them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. WaitlistBobbersSwim Lessons for YouthPreschoolers 4 - 6 years (without parent) No prerequisite for class. Participants do not have to attend a Parent/PreK Class before this class. Skills taught will include: First Preschool Swim Class without a Parent/Adult in the water. Child will begin to learn Basic Swim Techniques through Drills and Play while increasing their comfort level without a parent in the water. Skills will include putting face in the water, jumping in from the side of pool, bobbing under, front and back float, and other beginning swim elements. Pool Temperature Information: Our pools are used year-round by swim teams and clubs. The pool temperatures are determined by the safety standards set forth by various governing bodies for swim teams, which is between 77 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. We keep our pools on the high end at 82 degrees. Cancellations/Missed Lesson Policy: An $8 processing fee will be deducted from your refund if you withdraw from a class up to 7 days before the start date. Refunds will not be given after that time. We are unable to offer make-up classes or refunds for lessons missed because of illness, injury or personal reasons. If a lesson is cancelled due to weather or unplanned pool maintenance, we will make every attempt to reschedule it for a later date. Should we be unable to reschedule, we will provide a voucher for the amount of the cancelled lesson to be used toward a future class.Summer 26 -

This 4-hour class meets the requirement for both the initial defensive driving course (the former 8-hour class is no longer required) and the refresher course. Whether you’re earning your defensive driving certificate for the first time or renewing it, completing this course will qualify you for three years of insurance discounts. The class is taught by professional, certified instructors from the Minnesota Safety Council. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate to submit to your insurance provider. Defensive Driving Course -VIRTUALDefensive DrivingReview the rules of the road and learn new information regarding today’s cars, and update your driving skills. Those over the age of 55 qualify to receive a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance after completing this 4-hour basic course. This course is a live online presentation offered in a 4-hour Online session. A 4-hour refresher course is required every three years. Register at least one week before the class date and please stop by Gladstone Community Education Center Office (1945 Manton St. Maplewood, MN 55109) to pick up your required booklet. Office hours are Monday- Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Minnesota Safety Council. Driver's Education Summer 2026-VIRTUALDriver's EducationThe State of Minnesota requires that driver’s education distance learning be conducted in a face-to-face platform, which requires that students have a video camera and audio capabilities on their devices. Safeway has chosen a secure Zoom platform to conduct the class. Students will be required to be in front of the camera and interactive for the full three hour class. Safeway will be emailing the classroom handouts and 2024 MN Driver’s Manual in pdf format for printing. If you do not have the ability to print your course materials, please contact tkohner@isd622.org at least one week prior to the start of your class to pick up a printed packet. Drone Racing (Grades 3-9)STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they can optionally purchase during the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. Drumline Camp (Grades 7-12)Creative ArtsNo experience necessary to attend this drumline camp – students of all levels and abilities are invited to come have fun drumming! Drumline camp is open to all ISD 622 students who are entering grades 7-12. All equipment, instruments, sticks, mallets, and music will be provided. Whether you already have been part of a drumline or you don’t have any experience at all, this camp is for you. In this camp we will give you all the information needed to play a battery instrument in an indoor drumline, from introduction to kinds of drumline instruments to technique to marching with the instruments to instruction in the drum of your choice (tenor, bass, or snare). Join us and have a great time learning about the wonderful world of indoor drumline! *Students who participate in this camp will have the opportunity to continue their drumline involvement by joining Fusion Drumline in the fall.
