Stained Glass 101 Copper Foil MethodCreative ExpressionsExplore the beauty and craftsmanship of stained glass in this hands-on class with John Hanson, owner of Longfellow Soap Company, who has over 23 years of experience designing, creating, repairing, and restoring antique stained glass windows. You’ll learn how to design and use patterns, cut and grind glass, apply copper foil, solder the pieces, add patina to color the solder, finish the edges with a zinc border, clean and polish your window, and frame it with wood. All tools and materials are provided, and each student will leave with a completed small window. Please bring safety glasses, as they are required when cutting glass, and avoid wearing fleece or sweaters that may catch glass chips.
