Stained Glass 101 Copper Foil MethodCreative ExpressionsExplore the beauty and craftsmanship of stained glass in this hands-on class with John Hanson, owner of Longfellow Soap Company, who has over 23 years of experience designing, creating, repairing, and restoring antique stained glass windows. You’ll learn how to design and use patterns, cut and grind glass, apply copper foil, solder the pieces, add patina to color the solder, finish the edges with a zinc border, clean and polish your window, and frame it with wood. All tools and materials are provided, and each student will leave with a completed small window. Please bring safety glasses, as they are required when cutting glass, and avoid wearing fleece or sweaters that may catch glass chips. Strawberry Moon (Pink Moon) Kayak AdventureFitness and WellnessGlide across the water of Square Lake under the glow of a Strawberry Moon (Pink). This kayaking adventure would be suitable for adults and children ages 12 and up. The group will stay together while kayaking and after, gather on shore for blueberry muffins and lemonade. Super KidsSwim Lessons for YouthAdvanced Preschool Swim Class for 4-6 year old (without a parent/adult) Prerequisite: Child can swim 10 feet on own and is comfortable putting face in the water. Skills taught will include: Consecutive Bobs Front and Back Floats - independently Front and Back Glides Jump into water independently Beginning Elementary Back Stroke Beginning Front Crawl with Flutter Kick Pool Temperature Information: Our pools are used year-round by swim teams and clubs. The pool temperatures are determined by the safety standards set forth by various governing bodies for swim teams, which is between 77 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. We keep our pools on the high end at 82 degrees. Cancellations/Missed Lesson Policy: An $8 processing fee will be deducted from your refund if you withdraw from a class up to 7 days before the start date. Refunds will not be given after that time. We are unable to offer make-up classes or refunds for lessons missed because of illness, injury or personal reasons. If a lesson is cancelled due to weather or unplanned pool maintenance, we will make every attempt to reschedule it for a later date. Should we be unable to reschedule, we will provide a voucher for the amount of the cancelled lesson to be used toward a future class.Winter/Spring 2026 -
Super Mario-Themed Game Coding (Grades 2-5)STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)Online Virtual Class: In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Students will be instructed to make a Mario Kart - style game. Then pick custom characters, and track, to customize their games. Participants will hit the ball, run the bases, and play various in-field positions. Each player will receive a team T-shirt and a participation medal for the season. Batters can choose to hit from a batting "T" or from a coach-pitched ball. The season includes practices, scrimmages, and a final Saturday tournament on June 6.
